Brass Balls Rahm Emanuel on Softball "Meet the Press"

Rahm Emanuel: a "cross between a hemorrhoid and a toothache." When Paul Begala, in a 2006 Fortune magazine profile, used that analogy he nailed who Rahm Emanuel really is. The comments about Obama's White House Chief of Staff range from a fellow Congressman's characterization of Emanuel as an "amoral, showboating cock" to Anne Schroeder Mullins' quote from Emanuel own humorous campaign ad for Rahm run at Vice President ... "Rahm Emanuel - just a heartbeat away from having a heart."

Marc Ambinder, compared Emanuel to H.R. Halderman. After the Blagojevich thing, Ambinder thought it was Emanuel low point but "He'll be scary again, and no one will be able to dish about him without facing consequences."

Bruce Reed of the Democratic Leadership Council said the Emanuel gets a pass on being a brutal politician declaring, "As Democrats we are oppose to torture, but we're willing to look the other way when Rahm's the one doing it." And when it comes to Emanuel's foreign policy influence on Obama William Safire said it best, that the slogan for the coming years may be, “Invade and bomb with Hillary and Rahm.”
